Language Orientated

These courses were taught in and expanded upon the Japanese language.

Elementary Japanese 

N5 Japanese level course instructed with the first six chapters of Genki 1. Learn the basics such as asking questions (when, what, where), how to tell time, and how to write in basic hiragana and katakana. Introduced to some kanji.

N5 Japanese level course instructed on the last six chapters of Genki 1. Learn how to talk about holidays/trips, ask about experiences, list reasons, and more basic grammar structure. Begin to learn basic kanji.

Beginning N4 Japanese level course instructed with the first five chapters of Genki 2. Learn how to talk about gift giving, how to ask for help, and more advanced vocabulary and kanji.

Course focusing on the innerworkings of how modern-day Japan has evolved overtime throughout the ages. Researching art, religion, societal standards, history,  global developments, and more to further comprehend the Japan of today.

This course introduces Japanese literature throughout the different times periods of Japan. Reading various stories, tales, poems, and more to gain a further insight into the authors and way of life throughout history and its effects on literature.
